Description

A Non-Medical Transportation Driver provides reliable and safe transportation of patients/clients to and from medical, treatment, and ancillary appointments such as convalescent facilities, dialysis centers, rehabilitation centers and their private residences in a safe, secure and professional manner. This individual must be physically able to push a wheelchair, assist clients and strap down securements on the floor of a vehicle if necessary. Drivers will use their own vehicle and adhere to all agency and state driver regulations.

Requirements

Job Requirements
  • Indiana State drivers license.
  • Clean driving record
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills in order to interact and connect with clients
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently.
  • CPR and First Aid certification

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly, compassionate, on-time service that our clients can count-on.
  • Carry out the transportation responsibilities assigned to Reset Family Solutions and the Individualized Service Plan.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisor, family members and outside agencies.
  • Maintain a professional image and attitude regarding clients, visitors and co-workers.
  • Safely help clients in and out of the vehicle & transport to and from appointments
  • Transport individuals within designated timelines.
  • Keep vehicle clean, orderly, and in proper working order according to company standards.
  • Complete daily vehicle pre and post trip inspections
  • Accurately complete activity vehicle log reports, forms and documentation.
  • Maintain current vehicle license and insurance documentation.
  • Complete routes to ensure that they are both effective and efficient on a regular basis and as routes change.
  • Report all vehicle accidents to you supervisor immediately and complete required documentation for all accidents within 24 hours of the accident.
